From mountains of grey,
to waters of blue,
to the goddess of death everyday,
to terrible soil too,
Argos was wealthy,
but some were still poor,
the people were healthy,
but still fell on the floor.
Our family is in the middle class,
making vases of glass.
War was everywhere,
the gods helps us so,
the oracles gave them a scare,
we were unhelpful you know.
Plays of drama and fun,
to the paintings of monsters and heroes,
to statues of father and son,
to the coin system of ten to zero.
Our father worked hard to trade,
for all the things we made.
Not supporting Sparta or Athens,
from their tyrants or assassins.
Never supporting our fellow man,
to win the wars at hand,
Argos is our city state,
we’re awesome, so don’t hate.
