General Leonidas was the leader of the 300 Spartans that fought against the entire Persian force during the Battle of Thermopylae. All though Leonidas was killed he was known as brave warrior that would not give up until he died.
General Xerxes was the leader of the Persians during the Persian Wars. Xerxes was very relaxed about the battles and thought he would win the war. Actually the Greeks won most of the battles and won the war which made Xerxes furious.
The Persian War had a huge impact on the Greeks because it united the city-states. They might as well have tried to unite Greece as a nation since all the city-states had fought for Greece. There unification did not last long at all.

1.The reason that Sparta and Athens went to war was because Athens wanted to take control of Greece under Athens. Sparta's perspective on the war was that they just wanted to defend themselves from being under Athens rule. The Athenians perspective was that they were the best and deserved to rule all of Greece.
2. After a 27 year long war the Spartans finally won. This affected Greece because the city-states became there own isolated city. After this war a young man comes from Macedonia and conquers Greece.
